Why meeeeee?
Check this out! A 99 protegé 1.8L stops at a light, the engine dies and won't re-start. No spark. So far have tried new camshaft sensor, new coil pack and a used ECU. No luck. Anybody? Thanks.
How about the distributor? My '97 Protege' did something similar about two years ago. I went to the store and came back to a dead car. Towed it to the shop and found the problem to be the distributor cap.
93greenstrat is probably right on the money, check the ignition coil by holding coil wire off coil about a half inch turn the key on off on off is there any spark if yes the problem is in the distributor if no check voltage to coil,if there is voltage at coil and no spark replace coil if no voltage present at coil check fuses. You may want to start by checking fuses if you havn't already done so.
