Default Skyactiv-D acceleration issue

Hi everyone

I have recently replaced the head gasket on a 2012 Mazda CX-5 2.2L Skyactiv-D. The engine is running fine now except for one annoying issue:

When accelerating from a stand still there is a major hesitation (about 3 seconds with almost no power at all) and then the power kicks in abruptly and the car feels normal until I come to a stop. This occurs both when the engine is cold or up to operating temp. The engine doesn't rev when the hesitation is happening. No diagnostic codes. It wasn't doing this prior to the head gasket repair.

I have FORSCAN and an OBD2 cable. I haven't come across anything strange yet but my knowledge is limited.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

No fault codes?

Turbos are common to fail on these, along with the vacuum solenoids & wastegates. There is two turbo's, primary & secondary.
