Default Please Help! Oil Light on & off 06 Mazda Tribute V6

Yesterday my oil light came on after driving around doing errands in the evening for a few minutes than went back off for a few minutes and kept going on and off sometimes it would be a flicker and other times longer. Just got an oil change within the last month and oil is filled to the top line. I did notice that the dip stick was difficult to pull out like it was suctioned. This morning the oil was still full to the top line still and the check oil light was off at 8am and 10am and 12:30pm but on my way home in the late afternoon it came on right before I got home and went on and off sporadically never staying on more then 2 to 3 minutes for the rest of the trip home. It has been extremely hot weather for the past couple of days and there doesn't seem to be an engine problem (no noise). Is it just pressure build up from being hot? Will this cause my car to go into limp mode? Is it something I need to get fixed or just a quirk in the heat?

I had a similar situation today. Also hot weather, but my dipstick oil level was mid-point.

I added a half court, and the light went out. I’ll see how it goes tomorrow when I drive it more. I’m thinking that the already thin oil got thinner and the car had trouble making pressure.

Has your situation resolved itself?
