Hi Innes, and Welcome to the site.

I saw your other post earlier and would be glad to help you if I could but I don't have a clue or what the code might have been changed to. I'm really not a radio person. It's the last thing on my Mod list to do.

Have you tried simply resetting the whole system by disconnecting the battery for +/-10 mins? that should completely reset the ECU and has often solved other issues as well, such as power door lock/window/remote issues.

If you haven't yet, try that.

Smile Mazda Radio Codes

Many thanks to Blue-SP20 and a123matt. i own a 02 Tribute and was searching for some codes after being quoted the usual stories from the main dealer here in the North West Of Ireland.

While blue's 4989 did not work for me, his method worked with matt's1414 code so a huge thank@ to you both.

Smile Thanks

We got the "ERR" message whilst trying to reactivate the radio after the battery failed. Thank goodness for the internet and this forum! We have a 2003 Mazda Premacy. We followed your instructions but the 4989 code did not work for us but 1414 did! You have saved us time and money.

Smile Mazda Radio Code Typ LD52 79 ADO

Hi,
I am from Germany and have a Mazda MPV 2.o GRD, 07/2002.
Today I got the same problem - many thanks to Google to find this nice forum with the many hints. Special thanks to BLUE-SP20 and XERI.
For my Radio Typ LD52 79 ADO the code 1414 was the right one.
Kind regards
Charly

Excellent!! Good work Charly.

I love seeing this thread build with updated codes, new ideas and knowing that they seem to work in different countries as well as the US/Canada.

Keep it going, people!!

I have read through this thread and not seen a 2006 MX-5 Miata mentioned. I installed an iPod Integration Module on a stock radio, now the radio has no display at all. I have a dealer working on getting a code for me but would love to get it up and running today instead of waiting - I am off on business all week. I may try some of the remedies mentioned, but not sure if it will work with mine.

Sure!! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying.
Based on recent posts here, my guess might be the 1414 code will work for your '06?
