Didn't work, help!!
I bought a 96 Mazda 323 Protege (Australia), and changed the old battery. Anyway, the radio reset, and a security code is required.
Contacted the previous owner, and was told the code card is lost.
Contacted the dealer, and was told a $60 bill is inevitable.
I found this forum, and tried codes like 4989, 1414, 5989 and 3511, none worked.
Would someone please help me?
The radio model is DC600/10, pretty old, photo taken this morning is attached.

'Really don't know what to tell you, Alberto. Your IP says that you are in Spain which almost certainly different than North America, but may be the same as Europe?
I would guess you are correct about the AST bvutton, but have no way of knowing. I just can't imagine what else it might be? An automatic search button for the radio, perhaps? It's clearly a multifunction button as it's likely the ML as for using high content metal tape in the cassette unit.

According to your IP address, you are in Hungary. Is that correct?
Different countries use different codes and have different FM ranges. Most of the codes on this thread would likely be for North America, or at least the west.
