Does any one know the unlock code for this model please?
Managed to get it out of the dealer... Press the round power button and FM1/2 button together and after approx 10 seconds...yippee, I was back in business!

Default Anti theft codes for radio in Mazda 6 TS estate

Can anyone please tell me how I can find out what the code is for my radio as my mechanic needs to take out the battery to replace the diesel filter? I can find no information anywhere about it, only how to reset it once it goes into error.

Many thanks in advance.

David.

I can confirm that 4989 definitely works with a 2003 BJ 323 Astina (Australia)- the trick is that you need to press and hold Auto-M before you press and hold 6.

If it takes more than a couple of seconds to register it, try again as it times out if you don't get the key sequence right.

Smile It works, 2002 626

I registered just to thank everybody that contributed on this topic. Usual story: flat battery, code flashing, went to err after only 1 try! Moreover the antenna got stuck halfway out. I am in switzerland and my car book states that the unit has to be basically thrown away and new one installed.
So on my 2002 626 it worked perfectly with the code 1414.
preset 6, AM, Auto M, Seek ^ (up).
Enter code (as outlined in the car manual) 1414
Press Auto M, keep holding and press preset 6. Hold a few seconds and voila, GOOD appeared, radio sprung to life, antenna moved to where it's supposed to be.
I now have a fully working radio and CD.

Thank you to everybody here.
