Hi guys, I have just replaced the vacuum solenoid for my Mazda 6 1.8 2003
However, the swirl flaps remain open while the engine is hot still. The flaps work for a couple of minutes from cold and then just stop. Does anyone have any suggestions here as I am out of ideas. pipes are ll good valve is new, plenum to the actuator is all in tact and operational, so I am thinking relays or potential ecu glitch?

 

Or maybe this is by design? After some digging it seems they are been used as a choke which makes no sense as these are meant to be used to increase bottom end torque
