I have a 2016 Mazda3 and i’ve been driving it without any problems. I just got a new cell phone and immediately after pairing it with my car, the Blind Spot Monitoring icon is blinking on my dash. The BSM logo on my side view mirrors flash intermittently even when I’m not around any cars or objects.

So i unpaired the phone, disabled blue tooth on the car and restarted the ignition. Still the same flashing BSM icon problem. I reset everything back to factory settings, and the BSM light is still flashing.

Im sure the problem is from me pairing the phone because the BSM light immediately lit up afterwards. Does anyone else have this problem? I only found 1 post on Reddit from someone else who had the same problem a couple of years ago. He fixed it simply by unpairing the phone and the BSM went back to normal.

Is is this problem still covered under factory warranty since my car is only 1 year old?
