Squeaking ride and rattling air vents!
Hi, everyone...newbie here. I have a 2004 MPV that has got 2 issues I can't figure out. The first is that it recently started squeaking pretty regularly when I drive (regular road conditions, not overly bumpy). It sounds like it's coming from somewhere in/around/under the front passenger seat. I took it to the dealer to have them check the suspension and they said it all looked fine. Any ideas? It's driving me crazy! Also, my front center air vents have started making a weird rattling sound. This was intermittent and I could fix it by changing the air flow to a higher setting, but now it does it on any setting, heat or A/C. Again, any ideas? Thanks so much if you can help!

The squeaking could come from the rubber bushings at the sway bar. Stand next to the vehicle and open the door. Using the door for leverage rock the vehicle and listen for the squeak. If you don't get a squeak it may be the seat itself. If you do get the squeak you know it's from the suspension.
Take the rubber bushings out and lubricate them with silicone grease (Sil-Glyde), reinstall.
Clean the duct work. Maybe something got trapped in there. Check the fan and the fan blades. I once had a thud-thud sound from the fan. ...........I found a dead mouse!

Update!
It was indeed the cabin air filter and we have ordered a replacement. My husband tightened the bushings thing and that has eliminated the squeaks; so much appreciation for your help and saving us from yet another trip to the dealer!
