Default Prob a Dumb question

i will be getting my car tinted soon and was wondering, the same tint they use on the inside of the windows can it be used on the outside to smoke my tails and headlights.... i dont think it will work.. it will peel off and it just wont work out...I don't want to use the spray.

Don't do it!!
I have made these arguments against tinting lights over and over again now.
I tried this once myself, back in the '80's and will never do it again.

1. The simple fact is, that if you tint your headlights as I did (and I used a very light tint @ the time too,) you can't see.It cuts your lights output. That's what tinting does.
2. If you tint your taillights, others can't see you.
3. AND, it's illegal everywhere. Get into an accident w/tinted lights and the cop may just charge you for it, whether it was technically your fault or not.
Bad idea.

OK, think about it this way; you want to spend a couple o' hundred bucks to put HID conversions in your headlights, right? Then you put tint over them and bring the output down to halogen output level. Does that make any sense??? It's the same tinting your taillights only w/o the HID kit.
It's working at cross-purposes with yourself!! Itdoesn't make sense and its' not worth it in the end. Trust me.
