2002 pro5. 5 speed manual tranny with a short throw. i'm looking for a j-spec GTX to pull the gears and syncros out of to rebuild my tranny with though. 3rd is the weak link and the GTX has cryo treated gears and super light syncros that last forever. i really just want 3rd and 5th out of the GTX and i'd buy my own syncros if anyone knows where to find tranny parts.

SLAP SHIFTS ARE CLUMSY, AND EXPENSIVE. IF YOU HAVE ANY DRIVING SKILL AT ALL, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO OPERATE AN EXTRA PEDAL.

2000 Protege ES
5 speed

Driving a manual is way better than automatic, it is definately more fun. Automatics are for pussies.

I'll never drive an auto again unless I can get a sweet deal on a dreamcar like a C5 vette or something else that nice. then I'll convert it.

Oh yeah, and flappy paddle gearboxes don't count either... :-P

Currently, 5-speed 1997 Toyota Camry manual. Soon to be 6-speed Mazda Speed 3 and 6-speed Mazda Miata MX-5!
