Default Roommate's New Cars

Yes you read that right, CARS, as in two of them. My roommates both needed new cars so they both went out and got some........what do you think? She has the black one and he has the white one. Oh and look at the sticker, more specifically what I highlighted in red.............Italians.....

Are those Pandas, and is the black one an Abarth?

I have to tell you that my first... and last experience with a Fiat came some 30 yrs ago (+/-1980) when I was asked to remove a trans from an old junked 124. It took me well over three hours and a LOT of cursing, and bruised knuckles to get that thing out. What a PITA they were to work on then and I can't imagine its any better now.
I swore then that I would never again work on a Fiat.

'Love the bad English translation. I mean one would assume that's not quite the real intention of that sentence. And they were not wasting ink suggesting a proper viscosity either.

The black one is the "designer" edition, red/black cloth interior with red exterior accents and his is the top of the line one (yet still manual rear windows....). And yes they are Pandas Both have the 59HP 1.2L 4 banger and a 5-speed, the new new one comes out later this year, same body but the base engine will be a 0.9L...yes 0.9L.....875cc 2 CYLINDER with 64HP. Fiat pretty much committed suicide in the States back then, I still think they are little POS cars after 5-7 years, when they are new and under warranty they are greatish but I wouldn't want one after the warranty is out. His Panda is a lease and hers is being purchased, he changes his every 1-2 years.
