I would be interested to hear from anyone with a Mazda 5 Sport who has had problems with engine mounting. Around the time of my car's second birthday... sorry anniversary... last September I had the alarming experience of the engine mounting shearing (didn't know what it was at the time, made loud mechanical grinding sound) as I was stationary, in first gear, waiting to enter a roundabout behind another car. Thankfully it happened here, as otherwise I may not have been around to tell the tale. The car was towed to our Mazda dealership and the problem fixed, but no explanation was offered.... doesn't fill me with confidence.

 

mazda has a history of failing motor mounts no company comes without faults sorry about your luck but glad your ok
