Default Your milage may vary

Okay, after several months(4) and four fill ups of regular gas my 2014 CX5 AWD GT is averaging 23 MPG for the last tank. I know I'm not trying to conserve fuel because it is just too much fun to press the right foot a little bit more than usual. Especially when the road goes up and gets a bit twisty. All the milage for that tank was around town and short errand runs.
I do hope it will approach the EPA estimated average at some point when I get out on the open road
Maybe the Fun Factor should be included in those averages.

Our first fill up MPG is 29.5. 2014 CX5 2.5 liter FWD. I drive like the old man that I am but it's also nice going 300 miles on 10 gallons of gasoline.

We replaced a 2001 MPV with the CX5, downsizing a bit.

On my first tank of gas I got 775 km and averaged 7.6 litres/100 km which was fantastic. I noticed only about 680 kms on my second tank but did a bit more city driving. Discovering when I fuel up, the tank isn't completely filled at the first click so it appears you are going less distance per tank but if you work it out, the numbers should be no different in gas mileage.
