How to reduce your milage fuel cost by 30%
Hi,
Cansomeonetell meifit is possible to retrofit a 5 Speed 2.3L 2006 Automatic Transmission into a 2004 2.3L 4 Speed, is it compatible?
The purpose is for better fuel economy, i'm stuck with my ****ty performance car of 450km/tank at most and gets worse all the time if I try to step on the Gas a little.
I found the problem to be a high RPM at cruising driving levels. A 3500 rpm for 110km/h ... that is way too high!!!
I rented last week a Pontiac G6 2009 and it gets 800km/tank (THAT IS ALMOST TWICE THE RANGE !!! FRUSTATING THAT IS) for the same tank size and to my suprise, the engine is bigger , a 3.6L V6!!! It actually rev at 2000 rpm at 110km/h.
I found out why my 2004 Mazda3has badlypoor fuel milage ... ATX GEARS!!
I tough ofputting a 5th gear in my ATX, but I don't think it isan easy and cost effective task.
But maybe putting in a 2006 Atx is ...... maybe I say I dunno.
This is why I ask someone who knows about mazda 3 enouph to answer this question.
Thanks
