Question Unusual Alarm in Mazda Tribute!

Just wondering if anyone has experienced an alarm coming from the dashboard in their Mazda Tribute? Ours is 2004 and we have had it for about 8 mths. Its been a great car but this alarm is really starting to become more frequent and distracting. It sounds like the same alarm as when you haven't out on your seat belt.

Any suggestions would be great as we have already left it with a Mazda dealer for a day and they couldn't find the problem. We have to leave it with them again but its getting very expensive to do so.

Thank you for any help!

Hi Sarah, and welcome to the site, but I think you have answered your own question. It probably is the seat belt minder. A belt may not be making good electrical contact in the female end. Or if you have an airbag light on when no one is in a passenger seat, it may be that sensor causing a false alarm, trying to remind your non-existant passenger to "buckle up."
