Hi All, I have a 2000 year millenia s, I've just done the cambelt - all was ok. So i've put it all back together and come to start it and the lights come on but no crank or even a relay clicking when cranking. Turn the ignition off and the dash lights go dim as if the battery is dead ( when the ignition is off)! So assuming the battery was dead I tried jump starting it with no diffrence at all. There is nopthing wrong with the battery! I then disconnected the battery and reconnected. All seems ok until I try and start but no crank once again. all the dash lights are displ;ayed etc. Soon as I try to turn the ignition off then the dash lighst stay on very dim. I have now disconnected the battery and not sure what to do!

I only took off one earth whilst working and that was put back on. I've checked main fuses under hood and all seems ok. Sounds like a bad earth but having no luck.

Can anybody help. btw mine is a uk version and they have tarnsponder keys - although I don't think this has anything to do with this problem!
