Default 2008 unusual engine noise

Hello everyone, this is my first post.

I bought a 08 Grand Touring (automatic)two weeks ago for my wife. She loves it. One issue, not sure its an issue but here goes. When the engine is cold or hasnt been started in a while and i place it in Drive or Reverse, within 2-5 seconds, there is an click/thump sound from the engine compartment. Noticeable when the radio is on medium volume. This happens 100% of the time. Doesnt happen just after gear change, but a few seconds after. It does not happen during any other shift or operation of the vehicle. I am not overly alarmed in that I had a car that did something similar a few years ago and I thought it was the fan drive kickin in, but never caused me any issue.

My question is? Has anybody ever heard of this, and is it warranted that I have this checked at the dealership.

Thanks in advance

Default RE: 2008 unusual engine noise

I should have done a deeper search for this as I found the issue from another forum. Many have posted that the anti-lock brakes are charging after the car has sat for a while. Almost sounds like a tranny issue, but apparently nothing to worry about.

Im still a newby, so please forgive me
