Default Steering Wheel Volume/Track control stopped working

Hello,
Today my Steering Wheel Volume/Track controls stopped working.(Mazda 6 2010)
I have an after market Stereo and it has worked for 4 years, never had a problem using the steering controls to turn up the volume or to skip tracks.

Also, this should be related as it happened today as well. The Information System display button no longer displays the time. It does show all other information ex: gas remaining and mileage etc.

I have looked at all fuses in the car inside and in the hood and they all work fine.

Please help.

Do the other buttons on the steering wheel still work?

Because I have an after market head unit the other buttons don't work. However the volume and next track button always worked after installing the after market unit.

Issue fixed.
Backup camera connector broke, once I pushed it back in Information Display and Steering wheel controls worked again.

The problem I had was with the aftermarket stereo, the camera connector plug broke.

Do you have an aftermarket stereo as well? If so remove it and look at the cables in the back if you don't have an aftermarket stereo and the controls in the steering don't work then check the clock ribbon in the steering.

No, I have the Mazda radio. It was working fine. I stopped, left the car running, got out to check my mail box, closed the door, and I noticed the volume shot up very loud. I opened the door and the volume and channel buttons on the steering wheel didn't work. I had to use the radio **** to turn it down. The cruise control, info, and voice control buttons still work fine.
Thanks for replying!
I'll look for the clock ribbon. Not sure what that is.
