Default 2008 Mazda SP23 Transmission issues

Hi there,

I have a 2008 Mazda SP23 (hatch) that's throwing a P0841 code, suggesting there's a Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch problem. Basically, it isn't changing down when it should, though I don't think it's entirely in limp mode yet. Could well be very soon, so I'm keen to get it sorted so it doesn't decide it only wants to drive in second while I'm on the motorway.

I live in West Auckland (NZ), and am looking for any suggestions of a reliable Mazda transmission place to take it to, as I've had mixed results in the past trying to get things on this car repaired from places that don't know the car because Mazda isn't their area of expertise and they don't (seem?) to have the right diagnostic gear to scan it properly, or who don't really know anything about auto transmissions and are farming it out.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Cheers,

Ignite.

Growing up in Auckland, working in the Auto trade, my first pick would be Auckland Automatics, 636-7554
