Hi, I'm new as well. I actually don't own a mazda. I'm considering on getting one, but I hear a lot from people around that they're not reliable and the cost of maintenance is high. I wanted to find out your honest opinion about them and things I should be aware of to help me in my decision.

I think reliability is largely based on the model you choose.
The 3 series rates above average, while the former 6 series rated just average.
Maintenance is maintenance, or did you mean repairs? Again a very subjective thing.
I've now had my '04 Mazda3 HB for 55 months now, have done some mods to it and have had to do some repairs also, but it's a joy to drive.
