Default NEW Member, NEW MAZDA 3!!!!

Hello
My name is ryan, i am from raleigh north carolina
i just got a silver 06 mazda 3 w/6 miles on it. It is a very base i (my parents bought it so i could'nt ask for more)
5spd and nothing more.
I am very excited about it. Unfortunately, since i am only a college sophmore and my parents wanted me to have a good economic car so they dont want me to do too much tuning with it. I plan on doing rims and tires first because this base model came with freakin hub caps and nobody like hub caps, nothing special, if someone has stock rims i'd even take those.
I look forward to meeting some people on this site and maybe getting into some mazda events if possible. any information would be appreciated about events etc. look forward to meeting you all.
thanks
Ryan

Welcome to the site. Good luck on getting some REAL wheels. I don't have any lying around but I'm only asking this because it'll be useful for someone generous who may give odl stock wheels. What lug pattern is on a base steel wheeld Mazda3? Anyway welcome and have fun with the car. I'm happy you went Mazda and I think you'll love it.

hello and welcome to the forum, got a little suggestion for you try telling your parents that the cai, headers and exhaust you put in helps save gas, and the bodykit helps your downforce so you can handle better, also tell them *snicker* the turbonetics Thumper turbo helps *snicker* warn off deer hahahaha. Nah just fudgin with ya, but lucky you got a 5spd get some pics of it when you can....except the hubs.

If it's the 3i, it came with 15" 5x114.3 bolt spacing.

You'd be amazed at what a set of wheels/tires will do for the look of this car.

Here is a pic of my 3i with nothing more than 17x7 Mazda6 wheels (not too hard to find for sale used)...and my roof rack which doesn't stay on the car most of the time. Tires are Toyo Proxes FZ4 in a 225/45ZR17 and were only $104/each.
