What a joke. At least you'll get good mileage. Looks are pretty good.

 

Noggin: No need to pooh pooh anyone's car. Small cars like these can be a blast to drive. Look how popular the Ford Festiva (=Mazda 2, early 90's) is. They have a budding cult following.

 

I'm just upset with Mazda's lack of effort on this one for engine. The Mazda 2 may be zippy around corners, i don't know. I did drive a Honda Fit 2 years ago and was not impressed with the engine and that has more HP than the Mazda. The Honda Fit does have a lot of cargo room with need fold up rear seats that can also be easily removed (looks like easy bolted on). However I think the real winner in this category is the Ford Fiesta @ 120 HP and great mileage. Mazda has serious competition which is why I am disappointed with there HP numbers (although the Mazda 2 may be lighter, it lacks cargo area). I believe Mazda came short with this model.
