Hi all,
Just purchased a 2007 Mazda 3 Touring with 36k miles. So far (3 days), so good. I think it is going to be a real nice car for me. I like to work on my own vehicles, so will be using the knowledge here when needed. Only thing I need to do with it is clear the tpms light. It stays on solid, no blinking. Any help?

Rpickle,

Welcome to the forum. A 2007 Mazda 3 with only 36,000 miles sounds like you may have found a good one. Did you get the maintenance history with the car?

According to the manual for your 2007 Mazda 3, it appears that the warning light goes out automatically when the tire pressure problem is fixed. From page 5-28 if the manual: "After adjusting the tire air pressures, it may require some time for the TPMS warning light to go out. If the TPMS warning light remains illuminated, drive the vehicle at a speed of at least 25 km/h (16 mph) for 10 minutes, and then verify that it goes out."

I was able to find the manual at " https://www.mazdausa.com/owners/how-...=2007&mc=07M3S "

Keep in mind, at this point your TPMS sensors are over 10 years old and the batteries may well be exhausted. Said another way, you may need to have the sensors replaced before you can clear the warning light.

Thx guys. I thought I read that the light blinks if there is a fault with a specific tpms. Is that true?

Looking great. Congrats on your Mazda 3!!! I used to own a 2005 Mazda 3, it was a lot of fun to drive.
