Default Mazda CX-5 Infotainment Screen Uneven Brightness

If you see the images then you can see the bright spots coming in from the left side of the screen. Is this something normal? I did not notice it earlier but now since I have seen it I can’t avoid noticing it. Can some one comment please? Car is only two weeks old.

Have you tried adjusting the brightness settings?
I don't recall seeing it in either of my Mazdas. I will check on the way home tonight.

Brightness levels are at default/automatic. This is visible only when the system boots up or shuts down. In other screens/displays, it is not visible. Surprisingly when you touch the screen this brightness spill reduces. All I can say is that the quality of the screen is very bad. The blacks are not at all black. Contrast is way underwhelming and brightness is overwhelming.

I agree regarding the quality of Mazdas displays. They are not up to the level of the competition. Mazda focuses its engineering resources on driving dynamics. I think their goal with the infotainment technology is to minimize the driving distractions and little effort is spent on things like the quality of the display.
