Mazda 3 1.5 diesel 2016 oil pressure light come on, level ok

A little more info like how far the vehicle has travelled would help. I'd suggest you have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge to confirm if you have an issue with the engine or it may be electrical. Common issues? That I don't know.

i approached junction
as I pulled away the light came on
travelled 50 feet and stopped straight away so not travelled far or long time with light on

Or check the oil pressure sender first. Its easier than the other service. But if after that check you may need to consider the last response recommendation?
