My preference is CX-5 over the Forrester (a friend of mine has new Forester and it's certainly very roomy and well-built). The CX-5 has better styling, better gas mileage, more advanced 6 speed transmission, more luxury car features. For me the other choice would be to wait for the 2013 Ford Escape (redesigned and should be avialable later in May). The Forrester was never on my short list.

I'm enjoying the CX-5 so far, it's pretty amazing.
