As far as warranties are concerned, and if you mean "extended" warranties and their companies, we usually discourage them. They are more often nothing but money makers for the companies that underwrite them and the dealers or resellers that sell them.
Most people NEVER use them, find out they don't cover as much as what they thought they did, or simply don't need them.
To me and many others, extended warranties are a waste of hard earned cash.
