what years v/6 engine will fit an '03 or an '04

what years v/6 engine will fit an '03 or an '04
i have a chance to buy an '03 mazda6 with an automatic trans
AND an '04 mazda6 with a manual trans.....both need v/6 3.0
motors replaced.....are they the same motors?...and/or what
years will fit.....also will any of the
escape/tribute/mariner engines fit also....i realize i'll
have to swap all the external parts
(intake,exhaust,sensors)....just curious
