Wet Transmission
My 2005 Mazda 6S has a shifting issue after going through a car wash with the under-body pressure wash. After leaving the wash the transmission does not shift properly. It either starts in the wrong gear, or when it shifts from first it does so making a very hard clunk into the next gear. Also, when coming to a stop it will stay in the gear it's at. As example if it's in 5th gear & I stop it does not down shift. If I give it gas it will try to move while still in 5th. If I shut off the engine wait a second or 2 then start & shift in first gear the transmission will work as it should. Apparently there must be some water intrusion into either bad connectors, bare wires, a control unit or the likes. Does anyone know what connectors, or replacea Even though I'm in my 70's, I'll still crawl under the car if I know what to replace or fix to save a few bucks!
