Hello fellow mazderz. I'be noticed a ticking sound few monts back but it was very minor so I didn't worry about it. Recently sound got little louder. Its a 2005 Mazda 6 v6 (autotrans)and the sound appears ONLY when throtling either parked or on the move then eventually dies in engine noise but speeds up with rpms. I poped the hood and asked a friend to rev a little today and discovered its coming somewhere from the purge valve AREA. I will try oil change tomorrow my next guess would be mentioned above purge valve which isn't very costly however I would greatly appreciate any suggestions! Thanks
