Default svt cams

can you get more power into the 2005 mazda 6 by adding svt cams or would this not be compatible with the VVT?

SVT cams? From what car? Last I checked SVT was a ford thing and had done stuff with everything from the focus and F150, to the Mustang Cobra. None of which will be compatable with our cars AFAIK.

I'm going to assume you have a 6i (the 4cyl) as I cannot think of any SVT vehicle that has been powered by a 6cyl. If this is the case then no, I do not believe that the SVT cams will work as the SVT Focus uses a completely different engine than the 6.

no I'm talking about the 3.0 v6 with VVT, and the svt cams from the ford contour. I know they make the engines in escapes and cougars more powerfull and they have similar engines just with no VVT.

I still doubt that they would work. Due, as you said, to the VVT. Though if you find out to the contrary, please post up and let us know.
