Yea,HE hasn't gotten close to the limiter or snything else cause he never actually drives the thing anymore! It's too busy at shops and being trailored to shows all over the place half the time. He doesn't even know what's it's capable of these days,I just asked him...lol

p.s. Those particular pics aren't on a website,He e-mailed them to me last week. I'm sure he will eventually post them on his site though.

yeah, suddenly, i wish my car would go faster too....i was doing 160km/h on a side road at lunch the other day....but i found that at that speed, the acceleration got kinda slow, and the road wasnt all that great, so i could feel a lot of vibration in my steering wheel....so i figured i should let off, cuz if you lose control at that speed, there's no way your getting out alive...unless your really really lucky

On the interstate in the morning, the fastest I have gotten my 4 cyl. 6 up to was about 132 then it stays the same. Thats with low wind and a bit of a downslope. All stock parts at the time.

Must be the super, special edition 6 since all 4 cyl ones I have encountered are governed at 120mph exactly. Did you buy yours from Japan? I am curious about it. I know the V6 model goes a little higher before it shuts down though because I have a 4cyl 6 AND a 6cyl 6 Right now. Hmmmmmm,I am wondering what's different then. What year is yours if it's governed at 132? I have a 2004 and a 2005.

Mine is a 2004. I don't know man, I'm not lying to you, I saw how fast I was going. It might not be 132, probably 130 but I was definately going faster then 120.

Possibly the speedo is a little off? Did you do any major changes to wheel/tire size, etc?

My 3.0L died at 124....I think speedo error is fairly high at that speed.

That would be my guess since both of mine govern at about 120.

it's a softer gov and depending on variables, can swing a few mph before cutting. but i don't believe anyone who has said they have gone over 120 (give or take) unless they posted a pic or vid. i've only seen 2, i'll see if i can find the one from the guy on the autobahn again....

Yea,I think I could only believe about 125 at the most without something being modified or speedo error unless the True Euro model or JDM Atenza(from Japan)is different in that area which I wouldn't know about honestly. I would LOVE to get rid of the damn governor myself just to see what my cars could really do,but it's a fact of life that while it's on there,We'll never know!
Then again,I get in enough trouble Below 120 in my cars already so I need to slow down anyway!...lol
I'm going to court this Friday for a ticket in my Jeep even!...lol
