Default Small problem with small problem with closing the trunk

I have a problem with closing the trunk. When I close it, the mechanism pulls the lid down electronically and then returns it 3-4mm. The lid is not open but it is not closed tightly and water gets inside. I replaced the mechanism but it is not from it. Is there a module that controls the mechanism.

That sucks. I'd modify the mechanism (level it higher or lower) so it closes properly. If not, you should modify it to be manually operated (so no motor or computer involvement). Good luck!

Not really the best advice. When you do an adjustment there are several points to be taken into the consideration for the adjustment. There are several adjustments that need to be checked and likely adjusted not only the latch. On a typical Mazda trunk lid 6 point of adjustments other than the latch.

Yep, hopefully he can fix it properly without having to do a patch work as I suggested, but probably only worth to make it as last resort.

not really in almost every case were a DIY adjusted only the latch they either damaged the sensor or the seal.

Maybe before advising a service on a specific application that if yours is not exactly the same then at least do like other forum DIY and YouTube that way way if the person takes the less then good advise the Blair can go on the DZiY utuber. lol 😂
