Sakata 1.8 vs TS2 2.0 ...??
Hi everyone,
Thanks in advance.
I'm looking at a Mazda6 TS2 2.0 (60k miles) or a Mazda6 Sakata 1.8 (125k miles), both petrol.
I love the layout of the Sakata and it's tuned and responsive as hell (I find it hard not to wheelspin with my fat-footedness).
But the mileage seems excessive and the clutch really stiff at the end of the pedal (is that good or bad?).
So I wondered what the general opinion was on these two, and whether I can expect the Sakata to blow-up shortly or if there's life in the old dog yet.
I will be using the car for weekend run-abouts (shopping, family trips), and long-hauls to Germany and back a few times a year.
Definitely won't be commuting with it (I cycle to work).
My mind says go with the TS2 2.0, my heart says go with the Sakata.
TS2 is more pricey but it's got the longevity, and therefore re-sale factor for the future. Sakata makes you feel like a king
Everything else more or less the same, solid service histories, long MOTs, same years (2005-06)...If anyone can suggest anything I should watch out for (cambelts, clutches, anything usual for a Mazda6 to break/need replacing at a set time in it's life...?) that would be great, and would surely earn you much karma!
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks once again!!
