Replacing VVT oil control valve
So I have a 2005 Mazda6 with the 3.0L V6. When it started not running when hot I checked the OCVs and they tested bad. When I got the new ones I noticed that they sit higher than the originals. My question is, would this affect the operation of the valve or should it be fine? It seems from what I can see online, all the replacement parts look the same.
Also, is there anything else I should check to make sure it is getting the oil it needs and functioning properly before I put it back together?
