Before you replace the radio frontage that could cost alot of money, try taking the battery off and leaving it for 10 minutes. Reconnect the battery and see what happens to the display. I had something similar and doing this helped.

Yeah I have tried that but it didn't do anything.. I already got the part for 80 bucks.. Just gotta figure out how to put the new one in. I took the upper console off of it bc I don't need that I just need to figure out how I can get this new LCD display in. I called the dealer and said like 400 bucks for that so i said screw that and found a cheaper one. but i gotta plug it in by the 14th to make sure it works before my refund period ends.

Unscrew your shifter **** (counterclockwise)
You have to pull out the following to get there (not too difficult, so don't worry.)
1) Cupholder panel
- pull straight up (don't pull on lid) it should pop out
2) PRNDL bezel/ashtray panel
- you have to disengage 2 clips between the ashtray panel and the cupholder panel (I believe you push the tabs rearward - it's been awhile since I did this.)
- shift your car into "N" (make sure parking brake is engaged)
- disconnect the wire harnesses that light up the PRNDL
- pull slightly rearward on the ashtray panel, disconnect the wire harnesses behind the panel - it should pop out now.
- unscrew the (2) phillips head screws at the bottom of the radio, it should now be able to be pulled straight back (toward rear of car)
- Once radio is pulled, you should see the fasteners that keep the top panel in place along the bottom edge of the panel, remove those and pull straight back on the panel (again - toward rear of car) the panel should come right out.

Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps.

There is also a hidden bolt, you have to pull the glovebox out, and its through there that its bolted to the side of the radio.

You're right zoomzoom6chick....I forgot about that one.

When you open the glovebox, you can push the sides in and rotate it down and out of the way to access that bolt.
