Default Protege5 Winter Wheels on a 6s

Any good reasons not to use a set of 2003 Protege5 winter wheels on a 2007 6s? The wheel specs are: 16 x 6, 50mm offset and 5x114 bolt pattern.

- Found a nice condition used set with 195/50/16 winter tires already mounted (mainly concerned this size tire will be OK in terms of handling, since 205/60/16 is OEM).

- It's the wife's car, as long as it rolls/runs she's happy (exterior apprearance means little)....

I can't think of any. But you should also be aware that according to our resident Ford engineer and Mazda6 owner (his wife's car,) the OE offset is +60mm. I haven't heard of anybody going w/a +50 on the 6 has caused any real issues.

Thx - actually did figure out an issue with the tires. The load rating for the 195 sized tire is too low. There's only a small margin between that and the weight of the car -- so the 205's are really the smallest tire size that should be used....
