Unfreaking believable!! We are all in the same boat! Car responds w/ proper steps, unlock, lock... etc.. even tried disconnecting the battery... all seems to be responding as expected except for hitting the keyfob buttons twice!! Soooooo aggravating... this is for my son's car which I've spent another hour trying to fix this keyfob again today, but after his last tantrum for no reason today I'm ready to say F it... surprised as he's 21 now and has greatly reduced these types of no reason outbursts... he can keep using the key... ef him... ;o)

yeah, that sucks Mazda.. those of us w/ 06 madza 6's need to make sure our batteries don't die or our key fobs will never work again... aka... kid goes to college, leaves car home for a semester.. car battery dies before he returns. screwed w/ this keyfob issues forever...

There are at least two different brands of keys & remotes for these cars, without opening them up to find the manufacture, your Ebay remote maybe the wrong brand, with the wrong circuit board & frequency range..
