Gerlyne, I am not into calling people retarded. Usually that kind of stuff fires back!

After resetting the ECU it needs to relearn a few things over time. It will acquire some data about your driving style and adjust timing and fuel trim. If you have an automatic transmission it will adjust shift points.

I do not know if the locks are being affected by resetting the ECU. It is possible that this is coincidental. If you have a second fob use it to see if it makes a difference. Also fobs have a battery in them. Replacing the battery may cure the problem.

There are some computer wizards on this forum I hope they chyme in.

I don't have a second fob and I have replaced the battery but I did notice that it was working before I did the reset and then after I get nothing. The car still locks it just doesn't arm the alarm system
