I want to paint my brake calipers and my engine cover the same color. I want it to be a red. Anybody know a good paint to use that is heat resistance?

duplicolor engine paint with ceramic is a good one, pick it up at your local parts store for about 5-8dollars per can.

There are brake caliper specific paints available on the market. Go to Autozone (or your local store) and ask for it. It's typically available in Black, Grey and Red. Make sure you do a very good job of prepping the surface for paint, otherwise it will peel off and look like crap in a short period of time.

I'd start with a wire brush, then sand, then wipe it down with paint thinner. Once you have them perfectly clean, don't touch them with your bare skin (The skin oil will cause the paint to not adhere)

so all 3 of my local auto stores carry the same brake caliper paint. They all have duplicolor paint. On the box it looks like a dull red. i want something thats alittle more shiny. Anybody know? Also for the plastic engine cover will the high heat engine paint stick to it? or is there a better paint to use?
