P2262 main problem code
hi matey was it the rear exhaust pressure sensor you cleaned ? I'm awaiting a new one but if it just needs a clean I'm happy to do it. Did u have any idling issues? louder sounding exhaust note? Thanks I have code 2262 also
Hi, I had exactly the same codes on my 2017 2.2D skyactiv CX-5. Accompanied by check engine light and a loss of power.
Armed with the knowledge that it was most likely the exhaust gas pressure sensor I took it to the Mazda dealer. Upon picking up my car the servcie guy said that Mazda Australia had extended the warrany on the exhaust pressure sensor to 10 years/200000kms so the repairs on my car were under warranty without cost.
The repair work was to replace the exhaust pressure sensor that sits on the top of the engine under the noise shield. It was not a like-for-like replacement but with another unit that does not exhibit the same failure mechanism... i hope.
Just wanted to give back to with this information so others can find it as I did when I had this issue.

Hi David, so I am facing this same issue 2023 on a 2016 CX-5 2.2 diesel 140,000kms (codes P0471, P2262), sudden engine check light, turbo disabled (basically safe mode etc), sometimes the tire pressure light, DPF etc, apparently all connected to this exhaust pressure sensor business. Mazda say I should upgrade the exhaust pressure sensor (expensive) and change the MAP sensor (cheap). So I have 2 questions for you: 1) Mazda Australia added a 10 year warranty on this problematic exhaust pressure sensor? Really, give me more info on that please, cause they want me to pay for mine. 2) You can order these things (SHY618W00) from Japan for about $150-200, they look original (but who knows). If you buy in Australia it is $450, I guess you can't answer why that is the case, maybe someone else can.

My 2016 model CX -5 DIESEL 2.2 ( 70000 kms ) has the plastic one and recently I have encountered the same issue . Check engine light is on , car runs fine for few mins at start , and turbo cuts off .
switch off car and on again , same starts well and turbo cuts off again .
error codes are P0471/ P2262.
