Default Mazda 6 2.2 2014 Skyactiv Oil going up and a leak

Good morning to all
I have recently bough this high mileage Mazda 6 2014 2.2
I have a small spot of oil most mornings on the drive and I checked the dipstick and the oil seems to have gone up and not down.
I am checking when cold and the oil is now at the x mark on the dipstick.
This had and oil and filter change 5k miles ago.
The car has done 160k miles and runs well, even now. No noises or anything and last month passed its MOT.
Does anyone have an idea of why the leak and oil going up!? Im baffled.
Thank you in advance!

ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2]

1. Position the vehicle on level ground.

2. Warm up the engine.

3. Stop the engine and allow at least 5 min before continuing.

4. After removing the dipstick and wiping off any oil on the gauge, install the dipstick straight, without twisting, so that the X mark (read surface) is pointed toward the front of the vehicle.

5. Remove the dipstick straight, without twisting, and verify that the oil level is between X and L on the gauge.

Who carried out the last oil change?
Was the oil data reset?
Was the oil level on the dipstick correct straight after the last service?
Diesel engines will increase oil level between services due to fuel dilution & from DPF regeneration.
