Default Oil Dipstick Showing No Oil Even After Top-Up – Mazda 6 2.0 Petrol

Hi everyone,
Just bought a second-hand 2010 Mazda 6 2.0 petrol (LF engine) and I’ve run into a confusing issue with the oil level.
The dashboard doesn’t show a low oil warning, but when I checked the dipstick, it showed no oil at all.
The car drives smoothly and sounds healthy.
To be safe, I added 2.5 litres of 5W-30, but the dipstick still shows no reading.
The car still runs fine, no smoke, no tapping, no roughness.
I then measured the dipstick and I’m now worried it might actually be the wrong dipstick.
My dipstick has the code 6M8G-6750-A, which appears to be from a Ford engine, not the Mazda LF engine.
Its total length is around 570 mm, which is longer than the typical ~540 mm Mazda LF dipstick.
So now I’m unsure:
1. Is this a common issue?
2. Could a wrong/too-long dipstick cause it to falsely read LOW even if the oil is full?
3. Why would the dashboard not show a low oil warning if the oil really was that low?
4. Is there a known issue with oil level sensors on these cars?
5. Should I worry that the engine is actually extremely low on oil?
Before I add any more oil, I want to confirm whether the dipstick is incorrect and giving a false reading, or if there’s a deeper problem.
Any advice from Mazda 6 owners or techs would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks!

Sorry you info was long only read the part about the amount of oil and no show on the dipstick

here the answer I have...

Take you VIN call Mazda and ask the parts department to look up the correct part number for your engine based on the VIN then you should either purchase it from them or a source that sells them by the exact OEM part number.

It might help to slow down and try to fill out more information about you as amember. it ghelps when asking for service advise, mainly what country you are in!

2010 Mazda 6 GH, 2.0 petrol LF engine (155 bhp)
I’m having an issue confirming the correct engine oil dipstick.
The dipstick currently in the car is a Ford FoMoCo one, code 6M8G-6750-A. When I checked the oil after buying it, the dipstick was completely dry. I added 2.5 litres and it’s still reading completely dry. The engine runs perfectly with no warning lights.
From what I can find online, my car should use a Mazda LF-series dipstick such as LF01-10-450 or the updated LF94-10-450 variants.

Could you tell me:
What the correct dipstick part number is for my exact engine?
Whether having the wrong (too long) dipstick could cause a false ‘no oil’ reading?
Whether it’s likely the car was actually low on oil, or the wrong dipstick is giving the wrong reading?
I just want to make sure I’m buying the correct part and not diagnosing this wrong

Perhaps an oil change and ensuring the specified amount of new oil is added mught help determine if it is the correct dipstick. From my experience most dipsticks don't show the level as full but just a tad below with the specified amout of oil. Ford Mazda who owns who these days.
