Lightbulb noisy brake pedal

Have 2004 Mazda 6 wagon. Brakes feel okay, but pedal always makes creaking sound, not matter if I am sitting still, or driving when I depress pedal. THought maybe I need to lube point where pedal meets master cylinder under dash?

I did notice there was some slight shuddering of pads when breaking hard form 80 MPH, but I am hoping it has nothing to do with pads as I do not need that headache right now

Sure, go for it, why not.
The shuddering when you braking sounds like the ABS kicking in. Are you familiar with that feel? If it isn't that you probably have warped rotors.
