Default New Navi software for my Navteq for 02 model

Hi,
does anybody know, how I can get new software for my Navteq GPS system in my Mazda 6? I need new maps as well. I tried a new CD with maps from VDO Navteq, but that one didn't work So I think I first need a software upgrade.
I would need maps for at least Germany.
Thanks for your help!

Default RE: New Navi software for my Navteq for 02 model

Hi Lamb

I bought my Mazda-6 with factory-mounted navi 2 months ago. The dvd with software and maps was marked 2007, but I am beginning to wonder what is going in between Mazda and Navreq. If you try to order map-upgrade from Navteq, the latest avilable version for Mazda 6 is 2004 ?!.

I have posted a question to Navteq about this, but I'm not convinced I get answered.

By the way, Lamb, I have problems with my navigation in the way that the routes are "cut-off" long before the destination. It seems that the system only work on roads of a given size. Have you experienced the same problem. If the destination is on a (in Norwegian measurement) relatively small road, the route (and instructions) often stops 2 to 3 kilometers from the destination, altough the correct destination is market on the map with a circle.

In other words, I have to look both on the road and on the screen to get where I want - not a very safe way to drive.

Appreciate comments from you, Lamb, or other with similar problems.

PIMPIM

PS. English is not my usual language, as you may have found out.
