Mazda6 Tire Size options
Hi all. I have a 3rd Gen 6 (2021) and I'm thinking about replacing the OEM tires (Falken ZIEX ZE001 A/S). The size is P225/45 R19.
We already had to buy 2 brand new tires to replace tires that got bubbles on the sidewalls. I'd like to avoid spending more money on these OEM tires as I don't think they are good quality. They, also, seem to be noisy.
I'd like to have all the tires the same, so I'll be buying a full set. A tire that I'm interested in is the Michelin CrossClimate2. I believe that these tires do not come in the OEM size. They do, however, come in a slightly wider P235/45 R19 size. The diameter difference is only +1.1%, so the speedometer won't be affected that much.
Does anyone know if this different size would fit the 3rd gen 6? Will it clear the wheel well and the shock/strut tower?
