im wanting to know about a check engine light that came on my car? everything seems good ive checked everything but im not sure wat it is? the manual suggest theese following case: fuel tank level being very low or approaching empty; engines electrical system has a prob.; the emission control system has a problem; the fuel filler cap is missin or not tightened securely. ive checked everything that the manual suggested but everything is ok. if anyone has an idea or suggestion or has had the same problem, let me know thank you

You need to find out the code, but if the car is running OK and all the rest is good it is probably an O2 sensor out.

Having had a few "issues" with this particular part myself, I would suggest the MAF sensor being the problem.
You might try cleaning it, and of course this is only my guess. I've had 3 new ones in my 2.3L 3 series car. The first new one was junk from the start. The second went 25 miles before again throwing a CEL. Finally this last one has been good for approx. 8000 miles.
You might also have an issue with the fuel purge valve located just below the throttle body. If stuck you might unstick it by tapping it several times gently with the handle of a screwdriver.
