Default RE: Max wheel size

Ok, I'm looking the opposite way. I have a 03 6i 2.3, I needed tires so I went on line to do some research, I selected Good Year Assurance Triple thread 215x 50 x17 (very good tire) according to my research there are two tire sizes offered for my car 205x 60 x16 and the one I selected. The tires rub when driving over a bump, dip, pot hole etc... I need to raise the front and rear does anyone have any suggestions? I've heard coil overs it seems they are all for lowering vechicles Thanks

I have a 2005 Mazda 6 and I hit a huge pothole last night, denting the rim and causing a flat tire. Is anyone selling a spare rim, believed to be 17".

Z, are you on stock rims? If so, isn"t215/50 the OE size?
If not, I"d be willing to bet that the offset of you AM wheels is not deep enough. The OE spec is +60mm offset and very hard to come by on the AM. That is probably why you are having issues now. Raising the suspension to fit a set of tires is not really an option, unless you are going 4-wheelin".
Coilovers, though adjustable for height, will likely lower the car not raise it and probably ruin the ride for you.Theyare considered a performance/racing upgrade and ride is not the highest priority in their design.

amarcott, you must live in Boston or Michigan somewhere, home(s) of the giant pot hole, along with NJ.
You might post a Wanted To Buy/WantedTo Tradead here in the Classified section, or search on eBay for wheels for sale.
