Thumbs up New battery

Decided to get New Battery from Canadian Tire.
With the Optima battery being weak, i didn't want to overwork the alternator.
Plus battery is on sale ($155 Can because of the $25 off) with good specs---770 CCA 120 min reserve, Flat plate AGM.
The 34 Series Battery fitted just like i knew it would. Fits like a glove, right in to bottom part of tray. Hood closes, no need to worry about positive terminal touching hood as our hood has insulation and i re-used the stock plastic cover over the positive terminal. The Group 34 Battery is 1" Taller than stock 40R and 5/8" shorter but more powerful than stock.
I wrapped insulation around the battery and taped it down. $3 for insulation! Had to re-set stereo. Haven't re-set passenger window yet, but did change clock time. Let it idle for 15 minutes before driving, then drove it for about 30 minutes mostly on the highway to make sure charge is up.

JUST FOUND THIS: Due to the physical properties of the gelled electrolyte, gel battery power declines faster than an AGM battery’s as the temperature drops below 32°F. AGM batteries excel for high current, high power applications and in extremely cold environments.

Found this cutaway for OPtima batteries. And 1 for flat plate AGM. Last pic on bottom right is comparison of 2 from top view showing the gaps in Optima (15% more surface area in space).
they are basically 6 round cylinders surround by air gaps which make it easier to cold weather exposure which also means there are 6 separate cells as opposed to 1 big one like flat plate AGM.

It's been 4 days since I started the car. I went out and it started no problem. Turned over strong. Like this new battery.

Battery is very strong starting (wrapped in insulation).

New Pics. Moved the Amp behind front seat. Back seat is removed as no-one sits there and i compensated for the extra weight from speakers.

It was -26 last night with a wind chill of -40 or so.
It started no problem at lunch today! Because of good battery wrapped in insulation as well as high performance ign coils, synthetic oil. Battery is also a little bit bigger than stock, but it fits, read earlier posts to see.
Even with my SRI---I put the blue extra waterproof filter on it. and removed the insulation behind the filter @ the baffle (compare to last bottom pic which is summer set-up).

Was -27 degrees Celcius thru the night feeling like -40.
Car started fine. Same temps tonight! Started again Mon Morning 10:00 am.
Combination of great battery, winter front, insulated battery, solar panel, synthetic oil and hi power ign coils all help!
See attached pic of temps.
